This charity event being held Saturday, April 9th in New Jersey not only sounds interesting but it also benefits a good cause – Living Beyond Breast Cancer. We recently had a friend who passed away from breast cancer so it brings the issue, and the fact that the women who survive are especially lucky, into focus for us. If you’re in the area and are a wine enthusiast you may want to check out this event. With guests like Michael Mina and Gina Gallo it could be worth more than the price of admission.
(If you’re blogging or know a blogger please pass it on!)
Women in Wine will toast the growing numbers of women who make wine, hold keys to cellars at top restaurants and determine what we’ll all be drinking in the future.
Women in Wine features a dozen vintners including Gina Gallo of Gallo of Sonoma Winery, Joy Sterling of
Iron Horse Vineyards, Morgan Clendenen of Cold Heaven and Debbie Lewis of Lewis Cellars, along with Borgata’s all-female team of wine directors and sommeliers. Borgata’s all-star culinary team, along with celebrity chefs like Bobby Flay, Michael Mina, Jean-Marie Lacroix, Aaron Sanchez, Susanna Foo and White House Executive Pastry Chef Thaddeus Dubois, will create dishes to complement the featured wines. In
addition, chefs will compete in a mystery- bag cook-off hosted by TV personality Sissy Biggers.
Proceeds from live and silent auctions will benefit Living Beyond Breast Cancer.
