Got a pointer from a conversation at WineTalk.com about a Mac-daddy of the playa’s ball – the recent sale of a Rolls Royce for $800K that comes complete with wine cellar!
The car color was “burgundy” (of course) and The interior was fitted in the finest leather utilizing 14 hides in a rich moccasin color, the headliner was cashmere, and all wood surfaces featured cross banded figured Mahogany. A “cluster of Grapes” motif was used on the interior and exterior most notably as a sterling silver inlay on each of the Mahogany veneered door cappings. The custom features included a “mini-wine cellar” built into the trunk floor, a cigar humidor in the glove compartment, and “Naples Winter Wine Festival” engraved tread plates. This was the only car of its kind and the proceeds from the auction were given to charities that serve the needs of children in the Collier County area (Naples, FL).
Wow, someone must REALLY want to Enjoy the Wine Life!
