Silver Oak Next Release Jan 29th

Just wanted to highlight this event. I attended not long ago and bought a few bottles of wine then had the wine maker sign them for me. They make great gifts for people who can appreciate that sort of thing.

Next Release Day: Saturday, January 29, 2005

Featuring . . . 2000 Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2000 Silver Oak Napa Valley is a classic, rich Cabernet Sauvignon with a dark ruby-red color and an expressive nose of cassis, violets, roasting coffee, chocolate, vanilla and cloves. It has a rich, balanced mouth feel dripping with ripe berries and chocolate. Medium tannins are well integrated into the long finish. It will improve to 2020 given proper cellaring.

We will be pouring the wine at both our Oakville and Geyserville wineries from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., though sales will continue until 4:00 p.m. Tastings, including a complimentary Silver Oak glass, are $20. Each person may purchase up to six bottles of the new release at $100 per bottle.

We expect that collectors will line up very early in the morning for the limited number of six-bottle vertical sets and large-format bottles, but the lines should flow smoothly thereafter. We will provide espresso drinks, pastries, and an array of hors d’oeuvres — along with a few surprises. Please join us.
